Using CoSchedule for Social Media Scheduling

Wondering how people seem to be on social media all the time and still have time to get things done in their business and spend time with their family? I wondered the same thing!

If you are like me, you likely had a social media posting plan, but the time it took to manually post at optimal times was overwhelming. I found myself on social media all day. It became a time suck instead of a way for me to really communicate with my audience and engage in discussions.

When I found out about social media post scheduling software, I thought I had entered Utopia. Hmm . . . not quite.

After trying several different apps, I wasn’t satisfied. Then I found CoSchedule. Not only does it help me schedule my social media posts, but also blogs posts, events, and even helps me breathe new life into older blog posts. More on that in another video!

In this video, I wanted to show you how I use CoSchedule to schedule social media posts on FaceBook (personal, fanpage, and groups), Twitter, Google+, and LinkedIn. You can also schedule for Tumblr, but I don’t tumble 😀 Check out the short training video below!

You likely noticed I schedule a lot of image posts. CoSchedule made this amazingly easy to do.

When I am scheduling the posts in ActiveCampaign, I copy the information I provide in relation to the quote for the day and paste it into the edit box for CoSchedule for the same day. Then I choose the image tab, and upload the picture in CoSchedule by clicking on the camera icon. While that’s uploading, I switch back over to ActiveCampaign and finish scheduling the email. By the time I’ve done that (often much sooner) the image has uploaded. I choose which social media platforms I want to post to and the timeframe I want to post in. Then click schedule. I’m done in less than five minutes. It really is that easy!

Just to give you a bit of perspective, posting on daily {Inspire} to all those social media platforms use to take me the better part of an hour. It was just too cumbersome. Eventually, I would schedule for my FaceBook fanpage, but not anywhere else. This still was a good 10 to 15 minute process per daily {Inspire} due to FaceBook uploading not always being what it should. Ugh!

So, when people ask me the main social media scheduler I use, my answer is CoSchedule. Using CoSchedule has allowed me to work smarter, not harder, spend more time serving my tribe, and even more with my family (no sneaking away to post because it was time).

I’ll be doing more training videos on how I use CoSchedule. Social media post scheduling is just the tip of the iceberg!

    I very much enjoyed this tech tip and that you walked me through it on screen….nice! I so need that! And this is the first I have heard of CoSchedule and am looking forward to playing around with it. The idea that it can send out to all my social media with a few clicks – YAY!!!! Right now I do everything the “manual” way. 2015 is my year to automate!
