Have you ever just felt like the cleanup crew? Every time you turn around, you or someone you love is messing up. And as momma, you have to clean it up.
Whether it is technology, lunch left at home, a verbal faux pas, etc. it can be difficult to know how to deal with the mess up. Today’s video is on my own technological mess up. Not my proudest moment!
I didn’t go into great detail in the video because I’m trying to keep them under five minutes. However, I wanted to share a few things I learned from the incident.
- I learned to double-check the tech.
There just isn’t anything better to do than to check everything is working before you get started.
- I learned to admit I make mistakes.
Yes, I am still suffering from the perfection bug. It is times like this that make me humble and (cue Whitney Houston) realize I am not every woman.
- I learned to have faith in those around me.
Part of my initial inaction was the fear Dawn, the awesome interviewee, would think less of me and refuse to redo the interview. My stinkin’ thinkin’ could not have been further from the truth. Remember, FEAR is False Evidence Appearing Real. Stand in the truth momma!
I hope these thoughts will spur you into action!
I’m looking forward to reading about your experiences with messing up. What happened? How did you opt to straighten things out?
